Volunteers, Friends of Morningstar Alliance & The Annual Morningstar Golf Tournament

For many of our children, Morningstar is the best home they have ever had. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and therefore rely on volunteers and mission trips to fulfill seemingly normal tasks. From hammering a nail to financial contributions, the generosity of others helps insure these children live in a healthy environment. Thanks to people like you, our children are able to experience life in ways they would not otherwise. Morningstar hosts an annual Golf Tournament on Jekyll Island with proceeds going directly to Morningstar and our children. This event is our largest and most important fundraiser. With prizes like new cars, new boats & vacations, it is a fun way for the community to get involved in helping out Morningstar.

Donations & The Morningstar Thrift Store

Morningstar also owns and operates a community thrift store, The Morningstar Attic. Many donations we receive are used, but, on occasion, we cannot use everything for our children. We wanted every donation to be beneficial, so we maintain a thrift store located in downtown Darien, Georgia. Everything from clothes to furniture can be found here. 100% of the proceeds are used for Morningstar and the children we serve.
